- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences for preschool children (4–5 years old).
- Create a welcoming, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Prepare children for kindergarten by promoting early literacy, math, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
- Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families regarding children's growth and classroom activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and support assistant teachers and classroom staff.
- Maintain classroom records and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with center leadership and fellow educators to provide an exceptional early learning experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience required.
- Previous classroom leadership or Lead Teacher experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet all applicable state licensing requirements.
- Experience implementing preschool curriculum in an early childhood setting.
- Strong classroom management and positive guidance techniques.
- Ability to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
